Dr. Edmund Michael brings decades of experience in medicine, education and business leadership to his role as Chairman of At The Spa Ltd.

A board-certified family medicine specialist, Dr. Michael studied biochemistry at McGill University in Canada before earning a full scholarship to Rutgers Medical School in New Jersey. He completed his residency in family medicine at the John F. Kennedy Medical Center and established a practice in New Jersey.

He later returned home to Trinidad and Tobago, where he built a medical practice and served at San Fernando General Hospital and as District Medical Officer for the San Fernando area. His work also took him to Tobago, where he practised part time and served as Director of Medicine on the board of the Tobago Regional Health Authority.

Dr. Michael founded the Institute of Medical Education in San Fernando to expand training opportunities in allied health care. Since 2009, he has taught its Dialysis Technician Programme, helping to train hundreds of graduates.

As Chairman of At The Spa Ltd, Dr. Michael brings his experience in caring for people and leading organisations to the spa’s continued development. He also serves as Chairman of SURGIGROUP Ltd and the Institute of Medical Education, and as a director of SAL3 Properties Limited.

A proud Trinidadian with a global perspective, Camoy’s journey in wellness spans coastlines and cultures. Educated across the vibrant islands of St. Vincent, the Grenadines, and Barbados, she initially honed her dedication to guest care through culinary arts and hospitality.

However, it was during her time living alongside Native Inuit communities in Canada that she discovered her true calling: the transformative power of touch and massage therapy.

Driven by this passion, Camoy returned home to formalize her craft at the Institute of Medical Aesthetics (I.M.E.), where her vision expanded into holistic, all-around wellness and beautification. Today, as Spa Manager at At The Spa Ltd, Camoy brings her deep love for body sculpting and non-invasive aesthetics to life.

Working alongside Dr. Edmund Michael and an exceptional team of massage therapists, she is dedicated to ensuring every client receives expert guidance, personalized care, and a rejuvenating experience that leaves them looking and feeling their absolute best from the inside out.

She graduated with a diploma in Medical Massage Therapy from the Institute of Medical Education. Her training gave her a strong foundation in how the body works, but her conviction goes beyond technique: she believes people deserve to be listened to, taken seriously and cared for as individuals.

She knows that a client may arrive carrying more than physical tension. Stress, long workdays and the demands of everyday life can take a toll. That is why she takes time to understand each person’s needs before beginning a treatment, then uses her training to provide care that is purposeful and personal.

She is committed to doing her work well and giving honest, practical guidance where it can help. For her, massage therapy is an opportunity to help someone feel relief, regain a sense of ease and leave knowing they were truly cared for.
